Our PRP Services
Ah—hair loss—the unglamorous, unavoidable part of aging. No one likes looking at their rapidly receding hairline or that patch of hairless skin on their scalp. Fortunately, with our hair rejuvenation services, you don’t have to.
The Prime MedSpa PDX platelet-rich plasma (PRP) hair rejuvenation service is a non-surgical, comprehensive treatment for genetic hair loss. The procedure involves drawing your blood, processing it, and injecting only the enriched cells into your scalp. These cells are rich in growth hormones and essential proteins that aid in healing and hair growth. With this treatment, silky, dense hair are only a few minutes away.
Remember, PRP cannot resurrect dead hair follicles, so it is most effective for early hair loss, where it can convert shrunken hair follicles into ones capable of producing hair.

Microneedling With PRP
Aging is inevitable. Even so, dealing with wrinkles, creases, pigmentation, and sagging skin is not!
We at Prime MedSpa PDX offer a whole range of modern treatments that keep you looking as youthful as ever. Microneedling with PRP is one such procedure that is fast becoming a favorite of many our clients.
Microneedling is a non-invasive procedure that uses micro-needles to stimulate the production of collagen, an essential component of healthy skin. This, in turn, tightens your skin and removes fine lines and wrinkles.
On the other hand, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains a plethora of proteins and growth factors that promote healing and skin rejuvenation. Thus, by combining microneedling with PRP, we leverage the benefits of both to give you flawless, unblemished skin in no time.
PRP can be injected in the tear trough and nasal labial folds or other deep lines in the face to help with collagen production to fill these areas.
Your First Time
We understand that drawing blood and needle pricks can be off-putting for many people. Still, knowing what to expect can help you dispel any anxiety and bring you one step closer to the skin you have always dreamed of.
As you first walk through the doors at Prime MedSpa PDX, one of our hospitable staff members will greet you. Following this, our trained professionals will draw a small amount of blood from your arm, just like a standard blood test. Don’t worry, though; we use our years of experience to make you as comfortable as possible during this process.
Next, your blood will go through a state-of-the-art centrifuging machine to separate platelets from other blood components. After this, your treatment can begin.

Microneedling with PRP stimulates the body’s natural system to recycle old/damaged skin cells, giving you a fresh, youthful look. It is particularly effective at treating:
• Wrinkles and lines- Microdamage due to microneedling stimulates the production of collagen and elastin that fills in any gaps.
• Facial Skin Laxity: Microneedling firms up the skin by increasing collagen and elastin, which are strong proteinaceous compounds.
• Uneven Skin Tone: Microneedling breaks down hyperpigmented collections, so they are easier to remove
• Uneven Skin Texture: Microneedleing helps remove damaged and dead skin cells from the skin’s surface while also breaking down scar tissue.
• Stretch Marks: Microneedling breaks down old cells, while PRP encourages new cell growth.
Microneedling with PRP can also help with acne scars!
The short answer- No!
You may experience some discomfort while we draw your blood, but it will be mild. In fact, our clients describe the sensation as nothing more than a pinch. In addition, having spent years in the business, we have developed a range of techniques that can keep the process as pain-free as possible. This may include the use of numbing creams and ice to relieve any pain.
What’s more, you will experience little to no discomfort after the procedure is over. This means you can get back to your life without any lingering effects.
In general, a PRP treatment usually takes anywhere between an hour to two hours to complete. However, the exact duration can vary considerably based on your specific circumstances. In particular, the length of the procedure depends on whether the PRP is injected into the skin or micro-needled onto the skin surface.
The best part about PRP treatments is that the results are immediate. In fact, our patients usually notice improvements in skin tightness and unevenness immediately following their treatment. Further, our PRP treatment results are long-term, usually lasting for up to a year. Moreover, you can extend these results even longer by following our aftercare advice and practicing good at-home skincare.
You may notice some redness and swelling after your treatment, but nothing alarming. In fact, any mild side effects usually last for less than 24 hours and goes away on its own. However, keep in mind that microneedling procedures can take longer to recover from. This is why we recommend scheduling your microneedling procedures towards the end of the week so you can have the weekend to recuperate.
Luckily, the results of PRP treatments are immediately visible after a single treatment. THis means you won’t have to worry about undergoing the procedure repeatedly. In general, most people will need no more than three treatments spread out over several weeks. In other words, your flawless, taut skin is only a few sessions away.
At Prime MedSpa PDX, we use your platelet-rich plasma or PRP to stimulate hair growth. PRP is an excellent component of hair restoration since it is incredibly successful at activating dormant hair follicles and encouraging them to revert to the growth phase. It is so effective for three reasons.
First, PRP contains platelets and other growth factors which are vital for activating hair follicles and promoting hair development. Second, when used to encourage hair growth, the platelets also promote healing and the production of new cells. Lastly, the platelets accelerate the rate of regeneration, so you should expect to see results quickly.
With all these benefits combined, you’ll have silky, smooth hair in no time!
PRP Therapy is an entirely natural procedure that does not involve the use of any foreign materials or animal products. In addition, because PRP is a derivative of your own blood, there is little to no chance of disease transmission or rejection. We also complement the procedure with anti-microbials, further reducing the chances of infections.
Having said that, you may notice some swelling, bruising, or redness during the first twelve to twenty-four hours after your procedure. Don’t worry, though; this is completely normal and will typically subside on its own.
For the sake of thoroughness, it is also a good idea to consult your doctor before the procedure. This ensures the process is as seamless as possible.
